Umm, I am soo scared. Cause on Teusday I was talking to my cousin on the phone and she said she saw on the History Channel that the world will end on December 23, 2012. She said it was some guy who predicted a lot of other stuff that came true many years before they happened. I`ve been doing alot of research on the internet and I really just dont know what to believe. I`m 12 now so then I would be only 17 or 18 years old. I have always wanted to get married and have children. I know most people will say don`t worry about something you cant control, and their right. But for some strange reason I can`t get this horrible thought out of my head. Like you know those MySpace bulletins that say if you dont repost them, you will die. Those never come true, but I always get soo freaked out about it. I never repost them, but I always wonder WHAT IF this really does happen, or something. Does anyone have any advice for me?

December 23, 2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar, not the end of the world. People thing all kinds of things will happen on that day. But like most of these predictions nothing will come from it.

Live your life, kid. The "prophecies" are all junk. Throughout history, there's always been some nut case saying "the end will come" on this adte or that date, and a bunch of suckers who believed him - but we're still here. Nobody can say with any certainty what will happen next week, let alone five years from now. It's crazy talk, don't let it get to you.

Don't worry about it. It will end when God decides for it to end, even if this guy has said stuff that came true, you don't need to worry about it, although it is still a bit scary when people say that. I personally don't believe that the world will end so soon. If you are a Christian and belive what the bible says, then even if the world does end so soon, you really don't have anything to worry about. Read the bible, especially if this thing is really bothering you. It's exactly what you should do.
I know what you mean about the MySpace bulletins, and it's stupid but it is a bit freaky. The best thing you can do is not repost them so that other people don't have to be freaked out by them - keep it up!

If you only go off of the prophecies and predictions then you can easily dismiss all of it.If you go off of what science has discovered then you might be a little worried.Astrologers have already charted a solar storm that will hit our area of space around the 2012 timeframe.It is predicted to be the worst solar storm in 50 years and closer than any other solar storm that we know of.It may or may not have a negative impact on our planet.The alignment of the planets in the solar system which is estimated to happen around that same time might contribute to the negative effects that are experienced here.Best case would be minor storms, earthquakes,etc.Worst case ELE with natural disasters reaking havoc on this planet,psunamis,typhoons,earthquakes,eru... things like this.You can say that nothing can happen because only god knows when our time will end,but i don't think that really applies when it is a natural disater that may be our downfall,If it happens,it won't be the end of the world,it may be the downfall of man or a severe thinning of our population.No disrespect to the people that are using the bible as a referance for dismissing any world wide disaster,but out of all the naturally occuring events in human history that has devastated our population how many were actually foretold in the bible.I just don't think that they covered natural occurance in nature to much

Nothing will happen in or around that year that will show any of these prophecies or predictions to be true in any way, shape, or form. It all just coincidence.
