I notice that in western civilization we are conditioned by the news agencies to ignore conspiracy theories. And yet conspiracy theories are often far more consistent than corporate news bulletins. At least they have a case that they want you to study. Conspiracies in this modern world are quite common. For example, every war is directed from top secret locations. That is a conspiracy of a kind. Every official report comes from largely unaccountable sources with very little comeback. Rarely is a news item looked at from both sides in the same depth etc. In some ways the media corporations are just exaggerating things anyway. That's a conspiracy of a kind. So I give credit to conspiracy theorists, especially if they are well researched.

What about all the investigative journalism over the years that, yes, may produce good documentary TV, but has also helped to put criminals behind bars, as well as free others who have been wrongly accused. Would those be considered conspiracy theories, because they either reject the official judgement, or reject the witness statements of so called "experts"?

For example, the 50 year rule, whereby classified information can be revealed after an event often confirms what some truth seeking group may have have always asserted, despite being refuted by the government at the time. We must always ask questions, read between the lines and keep an open mind. Don't blindly accept the spoon fed official line as the single only truth. They can and do lie. "Experts" are drawn upon to support anything the authorities want you to believe. Those who hold power will do all in their power to retain it.

The press in the UK have by and large become the conspirators in many cases. What is often sad is that there is no level playing field what is good for the goose is often not for the gander.

When the present government was first elected they could do no wrong as it was for the Thatcher government but as time wears on and the gaffs and cover ups mount up the press ten goes into lynch mode and anything will be blown out of proportion or invented. For the public it is difficult to decipher the news from the stories.

No doubt this is not new but maybe we so much more media these days that it just seems to have escalated.

The problem with a lot of conspiracy theories is that they are either very poorly documented or not documented at all.

In a "proper" news story, there are supposed to be attributions, people are meant to stand behind their quotes. There are usually checks and balances in the major news agencies like The New York Times, the Associated Press, CBS... (for example, more than one person sees the story before publication, there are fact-checkers...)

In an ideal world, journalists are supposed to be the link between the event and the reader/viewer, reporting the facts and nothing but the facts (unless the reportage is otherwise labelled news analysis or some such). But even journalists are only human and as such, susceptible to the same failings as other people (conspiracy theorists included!) -- ego, prejudices and the like.

To get as clear as possible a picture of an event, I will look at several presentations of the same story -- print, television, radio. Even then, I often try to READ BETWEEN THE LINES.

To think that all the major media is controlled by a single source is an example of a fallacious conspiracy theory.

It made for a great movie with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts, but I think many conspiracy theories are exactly that -- entertainment (of a sort) and nothing more!

This is what I've seen and noticed. Guys act tough and manly around their buddies and sweet around their girls because guys are trying to adapt to the situation. Guys really want to act sweet and kind, but they also don't want to hassle around by the guys they know. Most of the time, a group of rowdy guys will always make light of guys who act sensitive to people, it's just that way. More than likely, the guys are not embarass of the girls they're with, but they just can't be seen being sensitive and mushy. It's an unwritten law among men. Hope this helps.

No they are not embarassed by you. If they were then they would not be sweet to you at all. If they are in public with you then I am sure they are still sweet as long as no one they know is around.

Some guys have this thing with keeping up an image that their girl can not/will not change who they are. They do this so that they will not have to deal with their friends saying "You are not the same person you use to be" or "I liked you better before you met her". It is actually a complex thing that your man will have to work out before he is totally and 100% into you.

It takes time but you do not have to sit and wait for it. Just point it out to him (in private) so that he realizes he is doing it.

I am a Christian and I am a nurse. My faith is much stronger in my day to day life. I attend church but I struggle with the organized religion overstepping their boundaries. As a nurse I am bound by Hippa laws to protect my patients. Church people are always prying and asking questions that are not of their concern. They publish personal info in church bulletins about personal health matters of patients. How can I get through to them and make them stay within their boundaries without offending them?

Well as a nurse myself and a Christian I would say that they are not bound by client confidentiality code of professional conduct or whatever nor is any Islamic group athist group or Liberal group as we are they would argue that they need to allow some information out so as people can pray,visit, help etc.

on the question of organized religion yes ime with you on that one. being a christian is about having a relationship with God himself although this is expressed by felloshipping with our brothers and sisters as well. It might be as well to talk to your pastor preist call hime/her what you like to discuss this matter though if personal detail that are inapropriate are being shared

A teacher at school where I work knew that an 8th grader was pregnant -- she went to her prayer group and told them all so that they could pray for her. I said, "You TOLD them all she was pregnant?" Unless the patients protest to it being published it may not be your concern. As long you stay within your privacy laws what they do isn't your concern. Sometimes it makes the patient feel more cared about and it's been proven that prayer does make a difference in the recovery.

I'm not sure what your referring to. If its just an announcement that someone is sick or hurt I don't see the problem. There may be a problem with a "day to day" faith or a faith that comes first over ones faith in Christ who says that if one loves any one or any thing more than Him they are unworthy of Him. If someone asks personal info beyond what is right just say it is personal or confidential info politely and leave it at that.

Just tell them that it is the personal business of the patients, and that they would not appreciate their information being revealed to the public. Let them know that their concern is appreciated, but that they may be going about it the wrong way. You just have to be polite, but straightforward.

Should I break up with her?

I hang out with my gf every day (and call at least twice)... but I never really feel connected to her. I love french kisses we have but other than that I dont think about her very much.

If you're honestly not feeling it, just break up with her, because it's going to be better for both of you in the long run. You may hurt her, yes.. but if you stay with her for longer and break up with her later she's going to be even more crushed then she would now. And you're going to feel even worse and it's going to get harder for you to do it as well.

One thing you can do to maybe make it alittle easier, is start hinting it towards her instead of just laying it on her right away. Stop hanging out with her as much, don't call her or stay on the phone as much.. don't be rude about it though. That way it will be easier for her to let go.

That probably happened if you clicked any of the links that 'yours friends' happened to post, but in reality it wasnt them.

I'm home schooled and I only have online friends on myspace which i used to go to school with. When i was in school i had a best friend and now she never really talks to me and now it hurts to see her posting bulletins on how she loves her friends and she names them and im not even on the list. I'm totally for this as much as everyone else, but something seems wrong...why would Gerard call himself "Uncle Gee" and what Gerard posted and what Frank posted are extreamly similar. And I didn't see anything about this on their website. If it was so important to them, it should be on their website. I would make a border from paper dolls cut out from many different colors. Then I would find pictures of groups of kids of varied ethnic groups working together. I would cut out the word for "hello" or "friend" in several different languages. In the middle or as a back drop I would have a lightened picture of the statue of liberty with the poem about "Give me your tired..." darkened and highlighted. Thanks, this was fun!!!

Well, is a historical theme or not. I would put up interesting photographs and then have the students find out a little bit about their families. Your password was most likely phished by a false website. Like one of those profile trackers for example. Only use your myspace account to login on myspace.com, nothing else! If any website besides myspace.com wants you to login using your myspace user name and password, its fake. If you know anything about databases, there is no way for a site other than myspace.com to access the database the accounts on myspace are stored without proper authentication, which no one but myspace.com has.

Sorry if I am rambling on. Just change your password, scan your computer and keep away from those false websites.

Anyone who has spam like comments on thier page, or who has opened a spam like message, or bulliten may have been hacked. Go to edit profile, then click safe edit mode, and delete any spam like comments that may be posted on your page, also check in the picture part of safe edit mode to make sure they didnt add anything into your pictures like links/wormholes, and delete anything that looks suspicious in there also. Then make sure to check your whole profile under edit profile to make sure there isnt any codes posted in your profile that you didnt put there(if you were hacked they sometimes put codes to cover up certain parts of your page with a link they use to get your info, etc.. be sure to delete any code that you think you may not have put there). Then once you did all that go to account settings change your password then under account settings go to privacy settings/change settings, and click the little box next to where it says Comments - approve before posting so there is a check mark in it, then also make sure to have all the little boxes under block group invites, and block event invites from Users who are not added to my friends, Bands (who are not added to my friends), Filmmakers (who are not added to my friends), and Comedians (who are not added to my friends) so you dont get a bunch of spam crap invites from random people you dont even know, and be careful what messages you go through when people that are not on your friends send you something DONT CLICK THE LINKS included in the messages unless your sure its not spam, or something from a hacker. Also one last thing when you visit peoples pages that want to add you as a friend make sure there isnt no hidden links on the page that you end up clicking when you try to view something on thier page(example:pictures), or send them messages(like I said above they sometimes attach thier links into peoples pages so instead of when you click a certain spot where its supposed to bring you to what your trying to view it ends up redirecting you to thier crap where they can steal your sign in info). Look at the bottom of the web browser to see if it says something myspace related before clicking anything on the specific page so you dont get redirected to a page where they then steal your damn info, and hack your account. Also be careful where you sign in make sure your on the regular myspace home page before signing in, if you were signed in then all of a sudden your back at a login page then go back to the myspace home page(type it into your browser), and resign in there if you think you have to sign back in, dont ever just sign in on a page that pops up especially if you were already signed in/if its not the main page unless you are positive its not a fake login page.. It can say something about myspace in the title, but it dont mean its a normal myspace page so be careful. Either that, or change your password frequently so they cant get into your account, and post all that spam for everyone else to open.

::Everyone who reads this copy it, and repost it either in your blog, or in your bullitins for your friends, and everyone else to read just in case they been hacked, or at least to help prevent them from being hacked. It lowers the chances of being hacked if they know how to block it, and be more careful of what they click on. Also keep in mind to never have your email address sign in password/info, or other sites that you may visit the same as your myspace acount because if they get your myspace sign in info if it turns out to be the same as your emails, etc they can get into that also, then block you out of everything so please be more careful unless you want to start all over not only with myspace, but have to get a different email, and everything else. So here is the deal. Me and this girl had been liking each other for some time. And she asked me out. And I said I barley even know her and would like to get to know her better. So we had been talking flirting with each other for some time. But we couldent see and talk to each other enough. And my friend sits next to her in class. So I asked him if I could sit next to her and he said yes. Now she has been known to be end and out of relationships. Which is the reason why I just didn閳ユ獩 go with er at first. Then I saw her posting bulletins talking about her boy friend. And showing his pictures and stuff. How could she do this she wasted my time talking to her and getting to know her. For some guy she met at the mark and the guy thought she looked good and asked her out and she said yes. Now they barley know each other but they are going out. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i need consolation! ages ago i told this huy that my bezzie fancied him and he guessed who i was on about. He cannot be fired, harassed, or sued. He and his family receive the equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in benefits, while working Americans are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after paying their bills and his, and paying for increased crime, graffiti, and trash cleanup. If someone who has had their social security number stolen gets married, if either spouse dies or become disabled then they can be denied their benefits.

The illegals get welfare by stealing social security numbers and identities and using false papers. Therefore, the time limits under the Clinton welfare reform doesn't apply to them because once the time limit is up, all they have to do is get new stolen social security numbers and identities and false papers and start all over again. American citizens who draw welfare are limited to the time limits from the welfare reform and are then cut off. American citizens who fall on hard times and have to turn to welfare assistance have a harder time finding jobs that pay enough to live off of because the illegals have taken jobs and depressed the wages of those jobs still available to American citizens. Therefore, those in the lower working class are highly unlikely to ever be able to "work their way up" since the opportunities have been stolen which will entrap these people into poverty with little to no way out.

My family moved to the US before WWII. Those of my family that didn't make it over got killed by the death camps. Our family assimilated to the American culture. We didn't expect the Americans to change to suit us. The illegal immigrants from Mexico are not civilized like that.

They not only changed the National Anthem to Spanish, they changed the words. They already burn our flag and hang our flag upside down. They waved the Mexican flag during a lot of their protests. Some schools have stopped hanging the American flag and forbidden students from wearing clothes with any part of the American flag on their clothing all to keep from offending the Mexicans. It's nothing short of an attack of our country, not only by the illegal aliens, but those who seek to appease them.

I am tired of the stereotype that Americans wouldn't do the work that illegals do. Illegals do all kinds of jobs for less than minimum wage which drives the wages down for U.S. citizens. Construction jobs are an example. There are lots of illegals doing construction jobs that Americans used to do because the companies can keep more of the profits if they pay less for the workers. All that does is make companies wealthier and Americans poorer. Illegals are stealing jobs that Americans have done for years.
