200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore..

why aren't we doing more about Darfur? Why is this crisis not on the news bulletins.....As a UK citizen, I would rather here updates on this rather than the 'terrible' weather being suffered in America.....

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

like all over africa leaders have been removed by the CIA MI5 and put dictators in charge to rule with a rod of iron which all over africa has reulted in mass genocide over a long time .

through the IMF bank and other world banks they have desimated africa by going into these countrys destroying what economys they had then lending bilions and getting thepolititions in controll of that money to blow it all and when the money couldnt be payed back the banks would go in and claim there natural resources making 100's of times more money than what was layed out .

the US's government is controlled by secret societies an ideology a New world order, the global elites members are people that own most of the western media , owners of world banks , oilcompanys , weapons contractors , most top politicians globally and pretty much any major comany that has a monopoly .

its not in there interests to intervene in this matter because they were the people that masterminded it , and as for the media coverage need i say more.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Possibly because the crisis was of the making of those that sanction the news .... if I was being cynical.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

I have no decent answer for you but agree with you 100%

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Sorry. Weather that is killing people is news. Your local/national news tailors coverage to audience; try getting a campaign directed at them.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Why Darfur, people are starving everywhere - how much do you give with your cushy internet connection and electricity woooooooooooooohhh! your not giving all you can pfft hypocrit!

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Wht's wrong with our weather?

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Actualy the crisis has been covered in several papers and on the news.

There was an article in my local paper just last night, it has been covered on CBC, BBC, CNN, Fox and by Reuters.

It is unfortunate that it is just one of many such problems that are happening as we speak.

If you really are interested in helping, please check out the websites below.

People are starving all around the world including the UK. But I think its about time we started to look after our own in the UK before sending another penny abroad.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

WHAT? You have seen the difficulty of trying to keep two different groups wanting to murder each other in Iraq and you want to repeat this in another country?

Why do you people constantly criticize the effort in Iraq, but simultaneously insist that the mess be replicated in Sudan?

Sudan is not like Iraq. Iraq was a danger to its neighbors, but Sudan is internal. Do you think the UN should have sent troops to northern Ireland? Same deal.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Change the TV or radio channel...If you haven't kept current with news, you would know that a treaty was signed with the government of Sudan in relation to ending this crisis in Darfur. This treaty will allow UN troops into the area for the first time. That is a huge, first step in at least addressing this issue. Again, I appreciate your priorities in terms of newsworthy events, but I am sure those who have suffered due to the weather in America look to their situations with the same stress and anxiety as those who have suffered in Darfur. Suffering, whether it is in America or Darfur or even in the UK, is very painful and unsettling.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

Do wat?!?!

You tell me what to do Mucky!!

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

My thoughts are that you really could give to s*** about Darfur your just on these msg boards to bash Americans.

Yes freedom of speech for you and just as free for me and your still a twat.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

I agree completely, the bias in the news is ridiculous. Peoples primary worry seems to be about terrorism when:

AIDS killed about 2.5 - 3.5 million people last year (the majority in Africa)

http://www.avert.org/worldstats.htm

826 million people in the world are under-nourished. It would cost $14 billion per year to eliminate hunger. $17 billion per year is spent on pet food in the USA and Europe.

20% of the worlds population lack access to fresh water (about 1.2 billion people)

...and of course Darfur:

These are only stats I came up from internet searches in the last 15 minutes! (from sources that are known to be realiable)

Edit: Its not only the USA that are responsible. A small thing anyone could do is sign up with a charity (preferably one that doesn't work through an agency or on a commission basis) and give a small sum of money a month (閳?0 - 閳?5) to the charity.

Before making judgement do a bit of research.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

That is because if it aint Americans or Jews dying then the media feels its not worth reporting.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

why should we? what about the African nations getting off their fat ars*s and doing something for once,or the Islamic nations,as its the Islamic Arabs fighting the black Africans.why is it always down to great Britain to take the lead on every wrong in the world?we are stretched enough as it is,and when we do get involved,we get nothing but abuse.the govt of Sudan has stated it wants no help from the UN,or us.so,leave it to someone else to sort out.

200,000 dead with this toll rising each day, 2 million people starving and displaced.... therefore...?

people dont seem to want to hear about such appaling things happening in the world, but its reality and unless the media respect its their duty to give an informed account of all world events and issues i cant see things changing. its a sad state of affairs though
